Count Physical Inventory Offline in ACCU-DART for Sage 300

This month’s release adds Offline Physical Count to ACCU-DART, so teams can keep counting in areas with poor or no Wi-Fi and upload their results when they’re back in coverage.
Poor Wi-Fi shouldn’t bring a physical count to a stop. With Offline Physical Count, operators can download a Sage worksheet, count on an Android scanner without a network connection, and upload their results when they’re back in coverage.
- Count in warehouses, yards, freezers, or other areas where connectivity is unreliable.
- Scan or search for items, review progress, and keep counts on the device until upload.
- Have a Sage administrator review and post the completed worksheet in Sage.
Offline or real-time: which count should you use?
ACCU-DART’s real-time physical count is still the right choice in many warehouses. Here’s a quick way to decide:
| Offline Physical Count | Real-time physical count | |
|---|---|---|
| Network needed while counting | No, only to download and upload | Yes |
| Counts reach Sage 300 | When the counter uploads | As each item is scanned |
| Bin, lot and serial counts | Not yet | Yes |
| Devices | Android | All supported ACCU-DART devices |
| Best for | Poor Wi-Fi, cold rooms, yards, offsite storage | Well-covered warehouses and bin-tracked stock |
Many sites will use both: real-time counts in the main building, and offline counts for the corners the Wi-Fi doesn’t reach.
Frequently asked questions
Does Offline Physical Count change how we post counts in Sage 300?
No. The counts are applied to a standard Sage 300 physical inventory worksheet. Your administrator reviews and posts it the same way as any other count.
What happens if the device loses power during a count?
Nothing is lost. Counts are saved on the device as they’re entered, and the count resumes where it stopped when the app is opened again.
Can two people count the same location?
Yes. Each person downloads the same worksheet and counts their share, and the counts are combined when they upload.
What happens if an item isn’t on the worksheet?
The app tells the counter rather than silently ignoring the scan. Items need to be on the worksheet generated in Sage 300 to be counted.
Can we count in cases instead of eaches?
Yes. If an item has more than one unit of measure, the counter can choose the unit when entering the quantity, and the app converts it to the stocking unit.
