Case Study: NSK America
NSK America is a distributor of high-speed milling and drilling spindles and hand tools in Illinois. Because each machine or tool required multiple specialized parts, each unit often contained several serial numbers—one for the complete unit and additional serial numbers for internal components. This made tracking item information particularly difficult, and NSK America was unable to meet customer requests for complete component-serial-number lists with their orders.
To resolve these challenges, NSK America contacted their Sage Pro ERP reseller — WAC Solution Partners Midwest — for help. Based on prior experience, WAC recommended ACCU-DART as a “well-priced, easy to use” system that is “great to work with.”

A Custom Serial Number Tracking System
WAC Solution Partners worked with ACCU-DART to design a custom approach:

Instead of using the ERP’s native serial tables, WAC created a separate serial number table for both item-level and component-level serials.

ACCU-DART was customized to read and validate against this table.

ACCU-DART updates both the ERP system and the custom table in real time.

Scanning a master serial number automatically retrieves and validates all related component serials.
This enhancement allowed NSK America to generate complete part lists with all component and component-serial details.
Upon posting, all serial number data is instantly updated and available across the system.
The Result
